HANZKY

Remember this post? I finally got to try something gold from Dell. You see the keyword here? Try :D So it's not mine, but hey at least I got a chance to look all glammed up while working.

Serius di sini dalam arti, it's build for heavy duty stuff.

I mean with most gadgets , you have to bring the charger anyway kalo memang mau keluar kantor dan akan dipakai hampir seharian, kan? So this should not be an issue.

Jingle Gold not your thing? They also have this in Era Grey.

--this was written on the 18 but somehow it just sat on the draft folder--

Finally, the day to say bye to Kemang office has come! I have a lot to share about our new office and the sentimental feeling leaving our old office, but let's save that for another day. Today I just feel like rambling.

• Last two days were crazy because on top of preparing for the move, we had BOD meeting yesterday. There's so many reports to prepare leading up to the meeting, slides to prepare and some times mental to toughen up..hahaha.
• There were times where I kind of underestimate my schedule that I didn't have time to sit down on my desk to actually do the work. So the past week I had to reschedule some of the meetings cause I just couldn't squeeze it anymore.
• Last weekend we had youthmanual event and 3 Female Daily Network event on Saturday. This wasn't event where we were invited by brands this was the event with our communiity that we organized for clients. Most of the time I didn't have anything to do with the event, but imagine the hecticness that the team was facing?
• We didn't use any movers or architect or interior designer for the new office, so we did everything ourselves with some help from my driver, my mom's driver, nopai's driver, a few construction workers, OB and Pak Satpam during the day. The construction and remodelling started from 1.5 month ago and there were just so many details, from making sure they tore down the right walls to changing the ceiling and flooring, choosing the sink, kitchen cabinet, toilet and everything else. Good thing it's something I enjoy doing.
• Too bad work won't settle by itself so still we had to finish whatever it was we had to do, sometimes until past night, sleeping 4 - 5 hours a night. But it was worth it when someone in your team tried to figure out a task and we had a discussion close to midnight and he said ‘I can’t sleep until I figured it out’. To know someone in your team cares as much recharges and refuel my tank.
• On the way back from BOD meeting to check on the progress of the new office yesterday someone WhatsApp me and said "I want you to be super successful and I'll do what I can to help". Whoa, how can some people be so nice? You have no idea how much it boosted my confidence. As an entrepreneur, we have many people praising us. But people who said that they believe in us and have so much faith in us and our business? Not many There are people who doubt you more than those who believe in you. So this was priceless.
• My homework this week: find out more about Daily Huddles and read the Rockefeller Habits by Verge Garnish.
• As if the chaos wasn't enough, Jehan was also sick. She had mild fever on and off, so I brought her to the doctor after 3 days. Turned out it was a light sinusitis and a sore throat.

I still remember their faces when we announced that we're moving. I record Gyanda's Snapchat when they were checking the soon-to-be our office during lunch time, in the rain. The fun they have packing boxes. I'm so grateful to have such an awesome bunch of people in Female Daily office. Masih terharu waktu denger anak-anak mau kasih kado ke satpam gedung (who is actually hired by the spa above) karena sedih mau ninggalin dia. They didn't know that actually Pak Arfan was coming with us, pas diumumin langsung pada girang. They even say bye to our favorite abang sate accross the office...haha.

My physique might be super tired but my mind is happy and my heart is bursting with so much gratitude #alhamdulillah.

• Great experience from the start. Even unboxing this was so I easy I did it all by myself. It took me about 10 minutes until I press the start button. Plug N Play at its best. The funny thing though I was looking for a CPU but turned out it doesn't have that boxy CPU like back in the days. It's just the screen, wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse.

• Slim and Sleek design. Always, the key for a great design. This one is so slim you can easily move it from one room to the other with that pop up easer stand. I like that you can tilt the screen easily to accomodate different height in the household.

• Touchscreen! This comes in handy when I want to create a how-to video (like how-to upload a review in Female Daily, etc) also when my kids want to show me what they are working on online. And what I mean by working on is of course Animal Jam or other games.

• Huge and ultra sharp screen. This makes watching movies together much more enjoyable. And when the kids are using it, you can easily supervise from a far.

• It comes with plenty of port, connection, card reader, DVD burner and not to mention huge storage too (1TB). The things that are luxury in laptop are easily available here.

• How many times do you want to use your laptop only to realize it runs out of battery because your kids forgot to charge it the last time they used it? Happen to me many times. With this one, well since it needs to always be plugged, I won't have to experience that again.

Ini salah satu video kocak produksi FDN talented video team and movie star :D

"Please be responsible for the energy you bring into this space" yang menurut gue quote yang keren. Memang toxic banget orang-orang seperti itu, we cannot run fast if we are surrounded by the people who always try to bring us down.

Complaining won't get you anywhere. Be positive. Train your mind to see the good in everything.

So now tell me you are not one of these 5 annoying people :D

WORK UNTIL YOUR IDOLS BECOME YOUR RIVALS

''Every time you spend money, you're casting a vote for the kind of world you want".

Ini lanjutan dari postingan tentang The True Cost of Fashion. Do I want to support company who doesn't care about the planet that we are living in? Do I want to support company whose workers are very lowly paid and work in horrible condition despite the high-rise profits the company is making? Do I want to wear something that I know have left an awful footprints in each stage of the production? This makes me cringe. I feel really terrible and so irresponsible.

Sebenernya, saya nggak sesering itu sih belanja high street brands karena menurut saya harganya juga nggak murah-murah banget, especially for the quality that they are offering. I have quite a mix wardrobe. Tapi memang ya, shopping high-street brands itu convenient banget. All you need to do is just go to the nearest mall and one store will have everything you need from office wear to cocktail dress to casual outfits. If I need something quick, the high-street brands will come to the rescue :(.

So where do I shop?

• I buy local brand a lot dari mulai Cotton Ink, Nikicio, Picnic, (X)SML, Dian Pelangi, Ria Miranda dan merek-merek yang ada di Goods Dept. These local brands are getting better and more mature, design-wise. Udah keliatan signature stylenya and you know you are not getting the same thing somewhere else.

Nggak perlu gengsi lah, you are doing something good for the environment and for your wallet :D

• I buy designer clothes at specialty stores with a very discounted price, harganya jadi lebih murah kok dibanding baju-baju new arrival high-street labels. Kalo lagi jalan-jalan ke luar negri banyak banget sih outlet-outlet atau toko-toko kaya Marshall, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Nordstrom Rack, Off 5th Avenue, TJ Maxx, eBay dan lain sebagainya. Kalau rajin mau ngaduk-ngaduk pasti dapat banyak good deals deh. Designer clothes, especially when it's at a discount, worth to buy lah karena memang craftmanshipnya bagus. Dan mereka kan nggak setiap 2 minggu ada model baru, paling 2-3 kali setahun so they are not compromising process and quality in the production dan footprints nya juga nggak banyak.
