On Instagram, that is.

Okay, I need to post something because my **tahu cabe garam** recipe has had way too much airtime.

I was actually supposed to write more. The past one and a half years have been some of the most interesting years of my life, and my original intention was to document every chapter of it. But, as always, life happened. Work got busy, businesses demanded attention, and all those ideas I wanted to write about slowly disappeared.

But this time will be different. This time I'll be more disciplined. This time I won't blame work, the businesses, or the million other things competing for my attention. Because if there's one thing I've learned, it's that if something truly matters, you don't *find* time for it, you make time for it. I want to document this season of my life. I want to share what I've learned from being an entrepreneur for more than two decades, building companies, transforming an industry, making mistakes, starting over, pivoting, raising investment, managing people, surviving cash flow crises, raising two incredible children into adulthood (who somehow turned out to be amazing, well-functioning human beings 😆), and everything in between.

I've experienced some incredible highs. I've failed. Succeeded. Found a thousand ways that didn't work. Been completely lost. Been betrayed. Been robbed beyond belief. Started over more than once. And every single experience has taught me something worth sharing.

So...why do I create content and want to grow followers?

First, because I want to document this journey.

Like I said, the past one and a half years have been some of the most transformative years of my life. Starting over, building four businesses from scratch, navigating uncertainty, making difficult decisions, celebrating small wins, and learning lessons I wish someone had taught me earlier.

I don't want these moments to disappear just because I was too busy to document them.

This is my archive.

A place where I can look back one day and remember not just what happened, but how I was thinking and feeling at the time.

At the same time, I hope opening the curtain and sharing more of the behind-the-scenes can help someone else who's building something of their own. Entrepreneurship often looks glamorous from the outside, but the real story is in the messy middle. If sharing both the wins and the struggles helps someone feel less alone or make one better decision, then it's worth it.

I also love the idea of growing together with the people who follow me. I don't have everything figured out. I still make mistakes, I'm still learning, and hopefully we'll all keep learning together.

Second, because I genuinely have a lot to share. Keeping everything I've learned to myself feels like a waste. If my experience can help someone make one better decision, avoid one mistake, or simply feel less alone, then it's worth sharing. I always say I write for the younger version of myself. If it would've helped me back then, chances are it'll resonate with someone else today.

Third, because I actually love creating content. I've been writing since I was little. Diary entries. Letters to friends. Letters home when I lived abroad. A personal blog since 1999. Fashion and beauty posts long before Instagram existed. OOTDs before phones even had decent cameras. Creating and sharing has never been a strategy. It's simply part of who I am. And if something consistently gives me energy, I don't want to ignore it anymore.

Fourth, and let's be honest, I'm building businesses and having a personal platform helps all of them. There's no pretending otherwise. Personal Chemistry. Citizens of The World. The Luxury Reports. BFF Festival will be benefited if I have a strong following.

This month, I've been keeping my promise to myself. I started July with 38.4K followers. Last night, it reached 39K. Not life-changing by any means, but enough to remind me that consistency compounds. I've posted six feed posts this month. I now have an editorial calendar (yes, an actual one 😆), and my goal is to publish three posts every week. The ideas aren't the problem. Time is. But I'm determined to make time. I even hired a freelance video editor, so now I have someone making sure I don't disappear again.

And hopefully... I'll be writing here again too. Maybe once a week. No promises. Well... okay, one promise. I won't let the tahu cabe garam recipe stay at the top of this blog for another two years.
