Last weekend was supposed to be an eventful weekend that will give a new mark on the school history. But too bad, I guess Uconn was just too much to handle and we couldn't make that big play we've been doing all games. Well, it was still a delightfull year nevertheless and what the team have accomplished this season will hold up well in posterity, thanks for a heck of a great season guys..=)
Anyway, it's one of those gloomy afternoon here in town, all i really wanted is to curl up under my blanket but off course that is unattainable with the big exam coming up tomorrow. This week is going to be hectic that i'm sure i won't even have time to whine and complain about it. Besides, I haven't complained about school that much this semester anyway, most likely cause i'm looking forward to graduate..so..BRING IT ON!!....*pheww* can't believe i'll be out of here soon...one and a half month to go!!.
Since we won the game over Texas Tech last friday, we advanced to the second round and had to face Georgia the bulldogs last sunday. Oh my god, we were on the verge of being embarrased in front of the whole nation for the first 10 minutes of the game, we were 19 points down and georgia was just bullied us around. It seemed like we had no chance to keep up with Georgia. But i guess miracle does happen because all the sudden, boom, we were back in the game, the team's spirit was just kinda picked up and we finally started to get the ball to the hole. JD was unstopable, he kept on rolling.. and Darren Brooks is the next best thing..! And once we took the lead, the fans in the whole united center arena went nuts and the rest of the night was our night, i still can't believe they pulled it through and came as the winner in the end because i think to come from 19 down to win is a statistical improbability, particularly coming from the lower seeded team.
So earlier tonight, the school conducted a pep rally to celebrate the victory and to wish them the best of luck in the next game which will be held this friday in Syracuse, NY and Uconn is gonna be our opponent this time. Everybody were there last night, cheering and enjoying the moment..it was cool and I bet by tomorrow the whole town will be decorated in maroon..and if we can take out Uconn, i'm sure people will go crazy here this weekend. Man, I still can't believe they made it to the sweet 16, that means we are one of the 16 best basketball team in the country..oh I've never been prouder to be a saluki. By the way, have you figured it out what a saluki is??..It's the kind of dog that can bite your ass up!
Sweet 16, oh so sweet..=)
It was too easy.....We outrebounded them. We out hustled them. We simply outplayed and outcoached those guys from Texas. what a wonderful win...ooh i'm too excited to type!!
Mad propz to ma dawg!!!
It's cold outside and it's raining too...and they even announce a thunderstorm warning on TV just now!. That's bizzare, especially when it felt like 70 degrees yesterday and the sun shone brightly. i was just about to say goodbye to my winter attributes yesterday..but today's weather makes me have to reconsider all that, i can't believe how cold it is right now. Anyway, this website is not done yet and i still want to add things and do some touch up here and there...but i'm just soo attached to all these basketball game that i can't even glance away from the TV screen. This has been indeed a very great tournament, there's been head to head battle going on, a lot of over times and some surprise upsets, it's march madness baby!!.and tonight is THE night....we'll see if my school team can send all those bull raiders back to where they belong!!..
I watched MTV last night, MTV is good when you haven't watched it for a while, but it stinks when you watch it everyday because reruns is all there is to it.
Anyway, there was the osbournes show last night...it was hilarious..huaha...i wonder if it's a one time show or a sequence show cause i'm looking forward for the next one...!
They also showed MTV cribs last night...Travis' house -one of the guy in BLINK 182- is gotta be my favorite house by far, the decoration is such a fine taste of artistic minimalism. I love every single thing in there, the white/off white and black leather coaches, the living room table, the fishtank. I also love the TV room and the bedroom, i'm sure it feels nice and peaceful to be lying on the bed with noises of water sprinkle in the background.. and oh..i can't forget this, the swimming pool!!. The pool area looks very much like a tropical island somewhere..with palm trees and everything..just like heaven..*i think*..
the beat is off the hook...and i'm still amazed with the lyrics...
Ayoo siapa ayoo yang mindahin?..*lho kok*, hehehe…!!. Sebenernyaa..ini tuh judul buku as some of you are probably know or even have read the book. It’s an easy to read book, very thin book with big fonts, so an hour is probably what you need to finish it. Anyway, this book is about how different characters handle changes differently. Which one is going to extinct and which one is going to survive?
Overall, I think this is an OK book, nothing new and not an excellent self-improvement book. The book also doesn't convey a deeper message, as the message only revolves around the importance of embracing the change..blablabla..but doesn’t scrutinize all the details that needs to be considered. Well, since I got it at a used bookstore..i don’t regret buying the book, hihi.
So..while we're on that subject, let's talk a little bit about change....For me, i think changes are something that always going to happen to us no matter what and no matter how we want things to stay the way we like it, it is gonna change eventually and it’s inevitable!!..So, be prepared…don’t look at change as losing something, but look at it as gaining something..
You know what, I was just about to click the post and publish button when suddenly an error message popped up and it just closed all of the windows.. so I lost the long ass entry I’ve written here..=(. Dammit I hate it when the computer does that!!. Anyway, I was just rambling about the mall I first time visited this afternoon..oh why haven’t I been there since long time ago because this mall, -even though it’s not that big- have stores beyond my wildest dream!!..*hihi, hiperbola banget!*. Anyway, i gotta get back there sometimes soon because we were there only for a while since we have to be home at 5 to watch the NCAA selection. We got back just in time because it started as soon as I turned the TV on and 2 minutes later…oh boy..*this is getting exciting* they announced the salukis, my school basketball team.. which I’m a big fan of, as one of the teams that got selected. Wohoo. I couldn’t be happier, it had been a week of a long wait in uncertainty, so glad they make it cause they are truly deserve it.
Anyhoo..they will be playing against Texas tech this coming Friday in Chicago…oh I would love to go there to watch the game, too bad I can only watch it on TV this time *If they show it on TV that is* I hope they beat the red raiders on this first round..so I can see some actions of the infamous-bad tempered bob knight throwing out chairs..*laugh*
Went to the mall and I spotted a new parfume by victoria secret, it's very sexy FOR HIM
Hmm, actually i'm not sure if it's really a new arrival or not *hihi*, it's been a while since my last visit to victoria secret, soo..forgive me for that. Anyway, it smells so good, so fresh yet so sexy and masculine, and it comes with a luxury package and bottle. So..my point here is.. if your loved one is celebrating his birthday anytime soon or it's your anniversary next week..you don't need to look anywhere else, this is the ultimate gift for sure. and..also don't worry if you don't have any special occasion, just get it first and find a reason later..=). guarantee you don't wanna be steps away from him *promosi abis*
bangs are back, and they are cute..or so i thought, that is why i was attempted to get me a haircut and have cute little bangs framed my face..but i guess i should've known better because obviously it doesn't work for me like it does for all the models in the magazine...*huhuu..makanya jangan suka ikut ikutan* .. Duh..di apain dong yaa mendingan?. *cari cari bandana and bobby pins*..
That was the song that wrapped up the game tonight...let's just say that all the long walk to the arena in a freezing night and the 8 bucks i paid for the ticket cause i lost my student id was worth it. I just couldn't describe the passion, the energy of the crowd and the player, the happiness that shows in everyone face that was there tonight at the arena....the crowd were like screaming down to their throat when the announcer announced that creighton lost the game...and that means we go up to the first position this season. Kudos to all of the players and the coach, it's been a great year for them and finally their hardwork is paid off...i know it's just about time.. Well..i can't wait for the weekend for the mvc tournament..we already got the ticket, and i'm going to 710 tomorrow to get my SIU t-shirt or jumper or something...i need to feel the spirit yoo..be all maroon this saturday..=) Seeyaaa
Tonight is the last home game for the basketball..i really want to watch it..but the thing is..i have to drag my lazy ass all the way to arena in this 30 degrees weather..will i be able to do that?..hehe, i don't know..well i guess it's okay as long as i go there with a bunch of people. Donna and Martha want to go there too but they have class till 7.30, means that we probably can get there like past 8 or something...and is it worth it to watch just a half hour game after that long walks?..hmm..have to think about it though...well i might just go, everybody is there cheering and yelling supporting the salukis and i can't just sitting here in front of my computer without knowing what's going on over there...........so..we'll see!
I have a lot to do this week, i have this presentation for my B2B class, the case is pretty long and we have to do a little bit research and write the paper too. I also have oral presentation for my business communication class but this shouldn't be a big deal since it's only gonna be 1 minute long. What else i have to do for this week? oh ya i have to go to edwardsville to attend the career fair there, so i'm sleeping over at nduti's wednesday night..=). Pheww..there's just so many things, not too mention marketing policy case, the project for next week (we need to start collecting the information this week) and so on and so forth. Oh by the way, i also have an interview tomorrow at 6...wish me luck okay?. Who knows next week i'll be on my desk in their office next week..=).
I had a good weekend, nduti was here. As usual we ate at Kahala, but this time we also ate at dennys, we discussed about ben's problem, went to pinch penny and the strip, we even went to hotspot eventhough we didn't get in, damn the outlook and the environment was not attempting enough for us to go inside..it's like in the middle of cornfields with bunch of hillbillies...!. We also stopped by at mas heru's, driving around..checked out the design boutique office, we went to the mall, we went to the evening with ICE-T *i love that* and so on and so forth. Ohh..i almost forget this, we also went to the shelter to check out the kittens they have over there, they have 2 adorable kittens that i just wanna take them home..... Hmm, what else was happened last weekend ya? ohh..you know what, i've been carless since yesterday..nduti took the car key with him and both of us didn't realize it till it's too late and too far for him to go back and give me the key..*lol*. So..that's why i have to walk if i want to watch the game tonight...!. But nduti has sent the key this morning though, so it should be here by tomorrow. Otherwise i won't be able to make it to the interview...
Ohh it's so hot in here and i'm wearing my sweater...i don't feel like changing my clothes since i'm leaving in a little while...so i guess i'll talk to you later...! and by the way, aan emailed me and she said that dina dini's brother is moving to st louis in two weeks..hmm, at first i kind of get excited but then i remembered that i think he already have this bad image of me built in his mind. I don't know if he still remember all about that though..the story that dina dini told him when we were still in Perth..it still make me upset somehow.
